Poster DesignThese posters were designed for my extreme sports loving niece and my Star Wars loving nephew for Christmas last year.
For my niece's poster, I created a silhouette of a snowboarder, then created the background mountains, radiant and flourishes in Adobe Illustrator. In my nephew's poster, I cut out a hi-res image of Darth Vader, then dropped it on top of images of volcanic eruptions that I abstracted in Adobe Photoshop. (Click to enlarge) |
CartooningThe Valley Grill wanted a mascot for the sports bar. The concept was a waitress in their traditional "referee" uniform. It took numerous preliminary sketches to create just the right look for her face and pose.
Yvonne Gentzler, the author of "Best Practices for New Teachers," asked me to draw a cartoon for each of her chapter title pages. The book was black and white so I didn't get the chance to color it. This one was my favorite, since as a teacher, I have definitely experienced parents who too often believed everything their little angels told them. |
